I've continued to follow the FE news and have been very impressed with the speed and quality of updates that Icarus has been making. I'm definitely planning to go back and try it, but not for another few months at least. I'm not waiting for any specific patch, just waiting for when I need a break from my existing games. I’ve continued to follow the FE news and have been very impressed with the speed and quality of updates that Icarus has been making. Which just goes to show how different and diverse we gamers are as a community. I find FE to be one of THE most immersive games I've ever played. And I'm talking for a LONG time. Since UO, SWG, EQ and on...I've played a lot of MMOs. For the first time in probably 10 years, I actually get excited about logging in to play. This environment (which looks amazing) is a role players DREAM. The lag issues everyone seems to have mentioned...don't plague me at all. So I'm assuming there must have been some serious efforts on the developer side, because my machine isn't ALL that "uber." I have a dual core with 4g ram and an nVidia 8800 GT card, so...nothing terribly exciting there on the specs, and yet it runs smoothly with max gfx (I think I did turn off the one of the two post FX settings, I kept the one that allowed me to still use anti-aliasing, because I think it just looks best). But any whooo....it might be time to log back in and take a look at how FE is changing. OR...you might wait until after the PvP overhaul that is forthcoming. All in all...I have to say I have never EVER been happier with a game. Unfortunately, I only have so many hours in the day, and EQ2 takes up most of my free time. I check out every MMO that comes out, but for me, if it doesn't make me want to change MMOs entirely, there's little point in subscribing past a month. Besides some game play tweaks, it is primarily the setting that differentiates one from another. That's why I enjoy LoTRO and Champions so much, but never clicked with AoC or FE. I think that's why WoW stopped drawing me back in after Burning Crusade, they started to stray from their lore too much. Really all of these MMO’s are basically the same. I'm not too worried about the game though, there seem to be a lot of other people enjoying it. @Anjin - Yeah, I'm really starting to feel my interest in LoTRO peak again.
