As great as it’s been to sight-see the new Earth Spacedock and test you grasp of trivia against Q, don’t forget that tomorrow at 11 a.m. Pacific (GMT -8) is the debut of the third Featured Episode series Cloaked Intentions with The Vault. There’s also a cool trailer out for the new series (via Cryptic_Kestrel).

As a side note, don’t miss out on the Foundry Spotlight Missions. There are currently four player-made missions (three Federation and one Klingon) copied to Holodeck (live) from the Foundry Beta on Tribble, and a fifth should be coming shortly.

I will play it the very moment it gets released. Maybe you will be there as well.

I should be, I’m GMT -5 so the mission will go live around 2 pm and my son is normally down for a nap around 1 or 1:30 pm. So, if all goes according to plan, I’ll be online to participate.

If the foundry goes over as well as the mission architect did in COX, it’s going to be a really big deal. To this day, some of the most interesting story arcs there are player made. With so many Star Trek episodes to draw on, I don’t expect coming up with idea to be a problem.

Based on what I’ve seen on Tribble, I expect it to go over really well. I think the fact that the tool is being offered for a TV-based IP and one which has an extensive fan fiction history will mean that a lot of people will be making missions. Of course most of those will be awful, but a large number of missions made means a better chance for some real gems. The big thing I was concerned about was some of the farming issues that Paragon Studios had to deal with, but Cryptic seems to have locked that down pretty well.

Honestly, some of the stories I’ve seen are worthwhile enough that I’d play them even if there wasn’t a reward for finishing the mission.

Alas, I might not be able to play as it as soon as it goes live, I have a new TV to buy this weekend and all. But I will most likely get to it by the time Saturday is over.

I’m excited about the Foundry, my husband and I are thinking of putting together a mission, he’ll help me with the Trek stuff.

A GC authored mission? Now that’s something I need to play! Given the humor in your posts and what I know of T’Androma’s background, I think you’d provide some novel experiences.

Oh… new TV? I’m jealous! Well, for the TV part not the spending-money part.
