It could just be because the game is new and shiny, but I was wandering around Stonefield last night and glanced at the bottom of the screen to see how much XP I had before my next level. The bar was only a quarter full and I was confused because I thought I was much further along than that. Then I noticed a 25 below my character’s portrait and checked my Soul window to verify that I had indeed leveled and just hadn’t realized it.

It’s not like the level up animation is hard to miss either, I wonder what I was so engrossed in that I didn’t notice it.

The same happened to me a lot of times. One time I just not saw two level up and I had to add 3 points at my tree.

Yeah, I just had to pop in and make a comment to that. How DID you miss it? One of my feedback notes to Rift during beta was actually, “Does the level up animation have to be so…huge?” 😛

Well either it was a Rift Invasion or maybe I had a dialog window up. I noticed today that I leveled during a quest turn in and the message was behind the quest dialog window.

Looks like I’m not the only one whose been running around with unassigned soul points. 🙂

It happened to me last night, and it is telling how engrossing a game is when you can miss the crazy over the top effect/audio/message that plays when you level up in Rift. Heck, I was even trying to watch for it, since I wanted to spend that new point ASAP. Yet I missed it by almost a quarter of a level; Questing and Rifting pulled me in.
