Like most every weekend this last one was too short. Friday after work I had great plans for taking advantage of the double reward weekend in STO to get my tactical and engineering alts promoted and finally start checking out some of the user-made missions that I’ve been hearing good things about. I was also going to fire up the Xbox and play through the last piece of Mass Effect DLC, spend some time on my alts in Rift, and buy/download Portal 2.

Instead, I did yard work because Saturday was the first day that it didn’t rain heavily in a week. After mowing, weeding, two trips to Home Depot, and fixing some landscaping in the front yard, I really wasn’t up to playing much on Saturday night.

Sunday, I was able to get in a couple of hours on Rift and a bit of work on a building project in Minecraft, so the weekend wasn’t a total loss, but it wasn’t quite a productive gaming-wise as I’d hoped.

There’s always next weekend, right?

Oh my! I thought it would only be Sunday morning, somehow! πŸ™

I can understand if you prefer to play RIFT right now, but

5th – 11th May Featured Episode Rerun: The Breen

I will ask around if the Breen BOff gets awarded again and what fixes and extras they added.
Maybe we can get the fleet together for this or a STF? I would be able to play during your favorite gaming time (which is 03.50 am for me) on the weekends at least. The more, the merrier – you for sure remember the epic space battles. I would like to showcase the Multi-Vector Assault Mode of the Prometheus instead of my favored Excelsior. We can talk on Twitter about that.

I can been pulled away from Rift pretty easily for group stuff. I’ve gone back to Champions a few times recently to play with Talyn, Oakstout, and GC. Timezones are really the only issue for this (same can be said for STF’s), but we can try and coordinate that via Twitter.

I did zero gaming this Saturday and Sunday. Like you, I was just so dead tired mowing the lawn and hedge trimming and fertilizing and weeding all day Saturday, I didn’t feel like doing anything. This spring is going to be baaaaaad. On Sunday we did shopping…went to Home Depot as well!

Maybe we’ll both get around to getting Portal 2 around the same time πŸ˜›

Hopefully my lawn duties will calm down to just mowing, spring always seems busy because of extra cleanup from the winter. Depends on if my wife starts any conversations with, “I’ve been thininking…” That never ends well for me. :O

Speaking of Portal 2, I think it does online co-op. Interested in giving that a try?

Shrub and grass growth should slow down come summer. Also it was just crazy this last week (and probably for the next few weeks) because of all the crappy rain we’ve been getting. Good for the plants, but bad for the people who have to take care of it :\

Would love to try co-op in Portal 2! You’re getting it on PC through Steam? I was going to, but just noticed it for sale on Amazon for $29.99. Hmm…

Yeah I was going to get it for PC via Steam since that’s how I got the original game. The first one really needed a mouse/keyboard to do well, I can’t imagine solving some of those puzzles using a controller. I’ll have to check in to the Amazon sale and see if the PC version counts. I wonder, will that version link into Steam so I don’t have to worry about keeping the disc?

Well, I went ahead and ordered the PC version from Amazon. I’m betting I don’t even have to put the disc in the drive, I’ll just have to register the licence key and be able to download it.

Portal is Way up on my list, but I’m going to be out of town this weekend. I was barely able to get on and play some Rift Sunday night, was entertaining the rest of last weekend. Maybe next week…
