I am a procrastinator, I just finished Batman: Arkham Asylum last night. I’ve been meaning to finish the game for months, yet every night when I sat down to play I always ended up firing up the PC first and losing my night to a game there instead of turning on my 360.

Despite my tardiness in finishing, Arkham Asylum is an amazing game. It completely nails the feeling of being Batman. I could say it’s the best Batman game ever, but that’s hardly an achievement. Instead I’ll say that Arkham Asylum does for Batman what Spiderman 2 and Hulk: Incredible Destruction did for their respective heroes. If you’re a Batman fan, go play it. Except if you’re a Batman fan you probably already have.

So now, I can play Arkham City tonight guilt free when St. Amazon brings my present, although I’ll have to set an alarm so I don’t forget about the Adventure Company roleplaying session.

The other cool thing for me about finishing Arkham Asylum: this is the first time, as far as I can remember, that I’ve ever picked up a game I’d stopped playing and finished it.

Last minute Asylum.

Good job, you finished! Myself, even when I played I don’t think I did much of anything in the game but go through the main story, which really is the best part. Oh, that and feeling badass because I’m the goddamn Batman.

Based on just a couple reviews I’ve read so far, looks like Arkham City is strong in those two aspects as well. Looking forward to it, which reminds me…I should go check my porch now to see if Amazon has delivered it yet…

I ended up with 80% completion. I was tempted briefly to try for 100% but trying to get a couple of Riddle trophies in the caves cured me of that. X)

I recently completed Knights of the Old Republic II for the first time (great game that falls apart towards the end, you can tell they rushed to finish it). Maybe next I’ll go back and finish Zelda on the N64…

That’s what I’ve heard about KotOR 2 and the reason why I never picked it up. Do you still have a working Zelda cartridge?

Oh yeah I do actually. Not the fancy gold one, but I have the game and an N64 to plug it into sitting in my closet 🙂

Hope it still works. I’ve been holding onto my old Apple IIc for years in order to try playing my original Bard’s Tale disks but when I fired it up a few months ago the drive was no longer working. 🙁

I love Arkham Asylum, so much so I played and finished it on all three platforms. I guess that would make it one of my favorites games, right? I’m looking forward to what you think of Arkham City.
