It’s a three day weekend! I have a few things planned, but gaming-wise the only thing I’m really looking forward to is getting back in the Captain’s chair. Star Trek Online has released two remastered episodes and from everything I’ve heard they are amazing. I still need to hop into Champions and check out the more recent adventure pack, Resistance. For that matter, I’ve not done the previous one (Demon Flame) either, because of my adventures with Serpent Lantern. Then, of course there’s Rift where I’m still adjusting to life after-CoT. Lot’s of games and actually enough time to play them.

No post (probably) on Monday since it’s a holiday, have a good weekend!

I still haven’t taken the time to try Demon Flame. I got to enjoy Serpent Lantern for free one weekend, and I enjoyed that aside from the repetitive aspect, which I hear Demon Flame was a little better about.

I also would love to jump back into STO as I haven’t tried ANY of the episode thingies they’re doing, but that’ll have to wait for either a welcome back weekend, or a F2P conversion I’m afraid.

My big thing was the boss battles. I was really expecting more of a story arc kind of experience and it turned out to be more like a mini-raid experience with multiple wings and bosses. I’ve heard Demon Flame had a few unfun fights as well, but I think they may have adjusted them by now.

I wouldn’t hold my breath on a F2P conversion, with the studio being up for sale I can’t imagine them trying to do any shifting of the business model. I would expect that they’ll have some type of welcome back weekend in July when Season 4 goes live. They tend to do those anytime they make a major system improvement and the ground combat update definitely qualifies.

A good portion of the guild lost interest and stopped logging in, so the remainder merged with an allied guild called Children of the New Sun.

I completely forgot there was a holiday yesterday. I came in to work, and was like “Dang, why is the front door locked?” Yeah, I have my moments of being “special” now and again…

Really? I’ve had more than a few times where I woke up in a panic thinking I was late for work, but I’ve never gotten farther than the shower before realizing my mistake.

Crap, I jinxed my self. You know what’ll happen on Labor Day now.
