Just so you know why I’ve been absent recently from the blog. This is by far the most time I’ve ever put into a game that’s not an MMO in the last twenty years, and I’m not even done with the main quest yet. At some point in the future I’ll write some more detailed impressions of the game. In the interim, if you have any questions leave them below.
Lost in Skyrim
Yep. Same damn spot. A little over a hundred hours, tried writing a post. Something about the experiences in Skyrim really make it hard to put into meaningful words. Lots of screenshots would probably help. Mmm… yep.
Except I always forget to take screenshots. I’m so involved in the game while playing that I don’t think about it until afterwards. Most of my screenshots are landscape panoramics.
Game’s pretty good ain’t it!
Ayup!
“This is by far the most time I’ve ever put into a game that’s not an MMO in the last twenty years…”
Same deal. Going on my list of best games I’ve ever played.
If I had such a list, it would definitely be on there. I’m so glad I gave into the excitement and picked it up, it more than makes up for the disappointment of Deus Ex.
I’ve been in the same boat. Eventually I came up for air to share a few thoughts and some amazing screens in my Lost in the Nordic wonderland of Skyrim post @ http://majamaki.com/2011/12/lost-in-the-nordic-wonderland-of-skyrim/ Then I made a Skyrim Map post filled with over 30 different maps of Skyrim @ http://majamaki.com/2011/12/skyrim-maps/ – I’m over 130 hours in and I feel like I’m maybe half way into the game, probably not.
I’ve been trying real hard to “get into” the game but it just isn’t that easy… I feel that the lack of other players is a diminishing factor for me. I guess I’m just too used to MMO’s and multiplayer games now.
I can see how one may feel that it’s almost as if you’re in the game, but I feel so alone in it, =/. I think I’ve logged maybe 5 hours total.
“ONLY” 103 hours? 😉
